WHEREAS, we're founders and startup lawyers ("we"), we've seen too many founders stall in diligence, burn equity, and get stuck in legal hell because of small mistakes early on. It's to be expected when there's no software solution for legal like there is for every other aspect of operations. We're attempting to solve this with an agent that automates founder legal ops. This is the world's first direct-to-user legal AI.

We start with a new standard eval for startup health, splitting legal compliance into 5 categories for basic document checks and analysis:

• Structural - A compliant, investible entity with proper governance records

• Financial - Clear shareholder agreements, stock plans, and securities compliance

• Operational - Proper filings and documentation for HR, IP, and tax

• Commercial - Clear and defensible agreements with external parties

• Special - Industry-specific compliance with certifications, insurance, and policies

We use this to build a (private, encrypted) model of your company for our specialized legal AI to help identify legal issues, automate compliance and diligence, and explore strategy. We encourage the use of real lawyers early and often, and we provide warm intros to our favorite lawyers in every expertise.
